We often pray for clarity because it seems easier than trusting in God. But the secret to trusting in God is discovered through the life of faith. Did you know that you can’t have a relationship with God without faith?

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:6

“ Without faith, it is impossible to please God.”  Faith is as critical to our life journey as gas is to a car, as a turkey is to Thanksgiving, or as notes are to music. No Faith  =  no relationship with God. Faith is trusting in the promises of God. It is making tangible decisions based on the intangible.

If you’re a bit like me then you are not into the ‘intangibles’ …no we want something certain, something we can see, touch or taste.  Well –fasten your seat belt and read on…because in Hebrews 11:1 we read that faith is… “Being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”  Sounds pretty ‘tangible’ to me!

“Faith is God’s window through which we see light in the midst of the night.”

Some people think that faith is ‘believing in spite of the evidence. ‘No definition is any farther from the truth. To believe in spite of evidence is really a superstition, not faith because faith is only as good as the object that you are trusting in.

If you have faith in God you will get what God can give you. One thing we do know is that “Faith” is the true character of the people of God.

So if your faith is not in God – then who are you trusting in anyways?
